Advanced, high-performance Speedlights for Nikon digital SLR cameras!
Eventually you may want to get a speedlight for your new D90 and that's a great idea! I just got the SB600 and i love it. I'm still learning the best way to use it, When i get it right my photos have come out great. I use it off camera with the commander mode and boy is that fun. Here's a few links about these speedlights. You may notice i use Amazon.com a lot to show you stuff and that really is just because they have so much information and user reviews on these products it's just a great place to get it all.

THanks man!
Your very welcome!
Hi!
Thanks for this post. I just found it after googling "D90 flash".
I'd like to say that I bought a SB600, and I'm really happy with it. It's easy to use, and TTL (automatic exposure) & CLS (remote sync) are great.
As a geek, I was thinking about buying a SB 900 and all its features, but it would have been overkill.
Another option would be to buy a second-hand Nikon flash (SB 25, SB 28, ...) and some pocket-wizard alternative (Cactus V4 for example, http://www.gadgetinfinity.com/product.php?productid=17204), for half the price of a SB 600.
Looking back, I'd rather have bought 2 old speedlights+Cactus V4 instead of the SB 600.
When in doubt, look at what can be done with basic flashes at http://www.strobist.blogspot.com/.
Enjoy photography, and don't concentrate too much on unneeded features!

Nice blog and post on the flashes. Still not sure about the old style SB-800...is it compatible with the D90?
